Entry #26 -- Exactly as Planned

The LORD God planned for His Only Son to come to earth in human form. Jesus Christ would be born fully Son of God and fully Son of Man.

Luke 2:1-20, emphasis on verse 20
“The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.”

When all was completed—it was exactly as the LORD God planned it to be.

The LORD God planned for His Only Son to die on the cross as the way for our salvation. He also planned for Christ to rise again on the third day as the way for our hope.

Matthew 20:17-19 [Also, Mark 10:32-34 and Luke 18:31-33]
“Now as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside and said to them, ‘We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will turn him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!’ ”

When all was completed—it was exactly as the LORD God planned it to be.

The Lord God planned for His Only Son to return to earth as the way for our eternal life. Christ’s return will be sudden, loud, and visible to all.

Matthew 24:27, 30-31 [Also, Mark 13:26-27]
“For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.”
“They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.”

John 14:1-4, with emphasis on verses 2-3
“I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”

I Corinthians 15:51-57, with emphasis on verses 51-52
“Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.”

I Thessalonians 4:13-18, with emphasis on verses 16-17
“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.”

Titus 2:13
“While we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ”

II Peter 3:8-10, 13-14 with emphasis on verses 9, 10, and 13
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.”
“But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.”

Revelation 1:7
“Look, he is coming in the clouds, and every eye will see him.”

Revelation 21:3-4
“Now the dwelling place of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Revelation 22:7, 12, and 20
Behold, I am coming soon!
Behold, I am coming soon!
Yes, I am coming soon. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

When all is completed—it will be exactly as the LORD God planned it to be.
