Self-Explanatory

 Sometimes additional words are simply not necessary. The Bible speaks for itself.

2 Kings 17:37-39  You must always be careful to keep the decrees and ordinances, the laws and commands he wrote for you. Do not worship other gods. Do not forget the covenant I have made with you, and do not worship other gods. Rather, worship the LORD your God; it is he who will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies.

Psalm 9:7-10  The LORD reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment. He will judge the world in righteousness; he will govern the peoples with justice. The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.

Deuteronomy 5:32 and 6:5 and 10:14, 17  So be careful to do what the LORD your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left. … Love the LORD your God with all  your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. …To the LORD your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it.  …  For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God , mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.

2 Timothy 4:3-4  For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

Gracious Heavenly Father,

            Forgive us for losing site of who You are; the Lord God Almighty. Compromise,  complacency, and entertainment have replaced sincere worship. Our feeble attempts at justification include the code words of unity, political correctness, being ‘woke’, tolerance, and the like; but we are not fooling you. Forgive us. Help us return to the truth of your Word.
