FEAR—Part Three: anxious concern

Mark 4:39-41 (KJV) And he [Jesus] arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, “Peace, be still.” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, “Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith?” And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, “What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

Ponder this: The disciples were anxious (e.g., uneasy, troubled). At that moment, the storm was their greatest concern (e.g., something of immediate importance). Jesus calmed the storm. Today, what is the greatest concern causing you anxiety? Jesus can calm that storm as well. The disciples responded to Jesus in marvelous awe of his control of all things. So will we when we fear him.
