FEAR—Part Two: profound reverence and awe
Proverbs 1:7 (NIV) The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Proverbs 9:10 (NIV) The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Ponder this: At the very foundation of your love for your Heavenly Father should be wonder caused by something so sublime; the expression of sincerest respect; and the depth and intensity of intellectual thought that you find no words adequate to describe it. This is fear. This is wisdom. This is the product of knowing God’s love!
