Psalm 18:30-32 As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.
Every now and then we simply need to pause and remember that no matter what our circumstances, no matter what decisions we face, no matter what obstacles seem to obscure our pathway—God is our Rock—our steadfast and sure foundation. Attempting to navigate through life’s ups and downs on our own can leave us exhausted, frustrated, and full of despair. It is when we come to know the great love and compassion our Heavenly Father has for us, when we come to understand how deeply he cares for us, that we are able to rest securely in the knowledge that his ways are perfect. His word is flawless—which means what we read in the Bible is there to direct, guide, comfort, and encourage us. God cannot fail. He gives us strength to face each new day and whatever challenges that day might bring. Our path is not perfect, but our Heavenly Father is! He keeps you secure—not free from obstacles—but secure in the midst of them.
Gracious Heavenly Father,
We ask forgiveness for every weakness that causes us to trust in ourselves rather than trusting you. We thank you for your written Word that gives us guidance, comfort, and encouragement and we ask your forgiveness for our neglect of delving into your Word daily. No matter what challenges we incur along our pathway, let us always look to you for our strength.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
