Quiet Contemplation - Day 13

Psalm 122:1 (ESV)
I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD!”

Times are a bit different now, at least temporarily. Some of us are able to go to church, while others live in areas still carrying restrictions for public gatherings.
Today belongs to the Lord. It is his day, and not just an extension of our usual activities. Whether you are able to join friends in worship at church, or whether you worship in your home while watching media services, please make time to worship (e.g., honor, show reverence, respect, deep devotion to) the Lord God Almighty. It is a good day, a blessed day. It is the Lord’s Day.

Gracious Heavenly Father,
For the many times we forget to acknowledge your holiness, please forgive us. We set aside this day as your day and we worship you. May all that we do and all that we say bring honor and glory to your name.
In Christ’s name we pray, Amen.

Respectfully written and submitted by
Dotty Willmon, Resurrection Christian—looking for the blessed hope of Christ’s return!
