What are You Wearing Today?

Colossians 3:12  Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Compassion:  deep sympathy for the sufferings or trouble of another person with the urge to help

Kindness:  the habit of being friendly, gentle, benevolent, generous, etc.

Humility:  the state or quality of mind or spirit that is modest; not proud

Gentleness:  disposition that is kind, mild, patient, generous, good

Patience:  enduring trouble with composure and without complaining; refusing to be provoked; persevering in difficult situations

Dear Readers, sometimes additional words are unnecessary.

Gracious Heavenly Father,

Thank you for claiming us as your chosen people, holy and dearly loved. Forgive us when we fail to clothe ourselves in compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience toward others. Continue your work in our lives to make us the people who honor and serve you.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
