FAITH unquestioning belief  (Part One)

Hebrews 11:1 (NIV) Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Ponder this: I cannot see oxygen, but when I inhale, I unquestioningly believe that my lungs will draw in the life-sustaining oxygen that every cell in my body needs to stay alive and healthy. I cannot see carbon dioxide, but when I exhale, I unquestioningly believe that my lungs will release that toxin from my system. In fact, this process has become so normal that I rarely ever think about it until I struggle with breathing in high altitudes or see my frosty exhales in winter. We all have faith but the question comes, how is our faith used on a daily basis? Sometimes faith is automatic as in the example of breathing. For the Christian, we have a certain faith—unquestioning belief—that if we persevere, Christ will come again to redeem his own. We live by this faith daily. We know for a certainty that if God makes a promise he will keep it.

Hebrews 10:35-39 (NIV) So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a very little while, “He who is coming will come and will not delay. But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him.” But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.
