INCLINE

Write From My Heart

June 5, 2021

INCLINE  to have a preference or liking; to make willing

Deuteronomy 5:29 (NIV)  Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!

Ponder this: At the heart of everything we think, everything we do, everything we say should be the desire to show reverence for God and to honor him. Our motivation—our driving force that gets us through each and every day—should be, “What can I do to honor God today?” Within whatever chores or tasks you need to accomplish each day should be opportunity to serve the Lord.

Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV)  Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

  1. This is awesome Dotty. Colossians 3:23-24 is one of the verses that helps me to get up every day and keep going. I just think about that and I don't think staying in bed feeling down is what he wants me to work at with all my heart. Once I choose to get up and get going, it is amazing how much strength He gives me to get through each and every day. And I choose to see Him in everything I do - I do it for Him.

  2. Embarrassingly enough, I am only just today learning how to read and respond to comments made on my own blog. Ironically, I used this same text (along with others) in my devotional today. It is one of my "go to" verses that keeps me going as well. Thank you for reading.
