Isaiah 60:12 (NIV) For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined.

 

Ponder this: This verse was part of the warning from the prophet Isaiah that any nation or kingdom who refused to follow and serve the God of Israel would crumble and fall. Through history we have certainly seen kingdoms come and go. The United States of America was built upon the foundation of “In God We Trust” and “One Nation Under God.” How tragic it is that we are slipping further and further away this foundation. If we continue on this path, is it not possible that one day we will be the nation utterly ruined?

 

Judges 24:14-15 (NIV): Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. … But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, … But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.
