TROUBLES

Write From My Heart

June 16, 2021

TROUBLES  worry; distress; inconvenience; state of mental agitation; misfortune; calamity; any person, event, situation, etc. that causes annoyance, distress, difficulty, pain, etc.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NIV) Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Ponder this:  Trouble can be some minor pesky little thing, or trouble can be a major disaster or critical medical issue. Trouble can be anything that would steal your focus away from your Heavenly Father. Just a few of Paul’s hardships are listed in 2 Corinthians 5:4-10, but fair warning—reading it is not for the faint of heart. Paul’s hardships puts our minor difficulties into perspective quite quickly. Yet for those who remain faithful servants of God, ours will be an eternal glory more important that any troubles we endure in this lifetime. As for endurance, the strength we need to get from one day to the next is supplied by our Heavenly Father.

Psalm 121:1-2 (NIV) I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
