Psalm 148:7-10, 13 (NIV)
Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean
depths, lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding,
you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, wild animals and all
cattle, small creatures and flying birds…Let them praise the name of the LORD,
for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
Today, in your
contemplation, take time to thank God for all his creation. Notice the beauty
around you whether in the form of weather patterns or plants and animals. Our great
and wonderful God created it all and maintains it by his word. Rejoice and give
thanks to God!
Gracious Heavenly Father,
All too often we get
consumed by the business of our day or the worries of the day and it causes us
to lose sight of your majesty. Today, we simply pause where we are to thank you
for the splendor of your creation. Praise the LORD!
In Christ’s name we
pray, Amen.
Respectfully written and submitted by
Dotty Willmon, Resurrection Christian—looking for the blessed hope of
Christ’s return!
