07-25-2020 Holding Fast
Deuteronomy 13:4 (NIV)
It is the LORD your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep
his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.
In this time when
everything seems so topsy-turvy, one thing remains constant forever. The Lord
our God is always closer than just a prayer away. He is our guide and he is our
strength; he can lead us if we will only ask. Following his commands are not
burdensome, they bring peace. Obeying him is not a chore, it is a pleasure. The
only thing secure enough to hold you fast through any situation you may face is
your Heavenly Father. Trust him now!
Gracious Heavenly Father,
Forgive our weaknesses.
We trust you alone for strength, security, and peace during uncertain times.
Thank you for your mercy and forgiveness.
In Christ’s name we
pray, Amen.
