DISPLEASED annoyed; offended
Isaiah 59:14-15 (NIV) So justice is driven back, and righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty cannot enter. Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey. The LORD looked and was displeased that there was no justice.
Ponder this: How ironic is it in a world consumed with personal annoyances and offenses that we seem to have no problem annoying and offending our Heavenly Father, the Creator of all that exists, the LORD God Almighty? Examine your heart today. Will the Lord be pleased when he sees in you: sound reasoning, moral excellence, good conduct, reliability, certainty, trustworthiness, genuine sincerity, and consistent avoidance of all that is wrong?
