FAINT

Write From My Heart

FAINT without courage; to be useless; not helpful

Luke 21:25-28 (NIV) There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.

Ponder this: It must have taken an enormous amount of courage to build a boat large enough to carry the animals that would one day repopulate the earth. It must have taken an enormous amount of courage to stand in front of a giant with nothing but a sling shot and five smooth stones. It must have taken an enormous amount of courage to spend the night in a pit with hungry lions. It must have taken an enormous amount of courage to stand in the middle of a furnace so hot it killed the guards. Most of us will never have to face situations such as these. Yet I wonder, how much courage will it take to remain faithful in the face of wokeness? Or will we allow the ever-changing worldly cultures to render us useless?

Joshua 1:9  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.
